Every shoot leaves behind a folder that nobody wants to open.
Sometimes it is today's card, still in the reader. Sometimes it is the drive where four years of finished work has been piling up, edited and delivered and never once put in order.
FieldCut opens either one. Point it at a folder and every photo and video in it appears at once, full size, in a grid you can actually move through. Keep what is worth keeping, drop the rest into folders you name, and pull the usable ten seconds out of a long take.
It reads the folder where it already sits. No import, no library, no upload, no copies. Close the tab and what is left behind is the folder itself: sorted, on your disk, exactly where it always was.
Your footage never moves, because it never has to.
Two ways in. Neither one takes a copy, and neither one asks you to wait for an upload to finish before you can start.
A folder on this machine
A card reader, an SSD, the Downloads folder, an old archive drive, anything mounted. FieldCut reads it in place and runs entirely on your device, so it keeps working with the Wi‑Fi off.
A shared Drive link
Paste the link to a Drive folder and it loads straight into the same grid. Thumbnails stream, full files only when you open one, and the selects go back to a Drive folder when you are done.

Open the folder
Choose a folder on the machine, or paste a link to one on Drive. It reads what is already there, so there is no importing, no copying and no waiting.

The whole thing, at once
Every photo and video lands in one grid, however many thousands there are. Open any of them full screen, zoom in, and move with the arrow keys.

Keep what is worth keeping
Mark a file to keep or drop it out of the way, one key each. Nothing on the disk changes, so a dropped file is hidden rather than deleted and comes back the moment you want it.

Drop them into real folders
Name the folders the job needs, select any number of files, and click to move them. These are real folders on your drive, which is why the sorting is the deliverable.

Cut the part you actually need
Play a video, mark where it starts and where it ends, and pull that section out. As many clips as you like from one take, and the original is left untouched.
Nothing is uploaded, nothing is copied, and nothing waits on a connection.
The folder is read where it sits. Your photos and video stay on the disk they came from, at full size, and the work happens on your machine rather than on somebody's server.
Every decision lives in the session until you act on it. Moving files into folders is the only thing that touches the disk, and only when you click it.
A local folder sorts with the connection off entirely, which matters on location. Only a Drive folder needs the network, and only to stream what you are looking at.
