About
Open a folder to begin
1
Open folder — Click Open in the top bar. Select any folder from your Mac, SSD, Downloads or Google Drive. Chrome and Arc work best.
2
Browse files — Photos and videos load as thumbnails. Use the Size slider to zoom in or out. Switch between Crop and Fit view.
3
Create sort folders — Press N or click + in the Sort Into panel on the right. Name the folder. Use slash notation like Product 01/Hero to create nested folders.
4
Select files — Tap the checkbox on any thumbnail. Shift-click to select a range. Press A to select all visible files.
5
Sort files — With files selected, click a folder in the Sort Into panel to move them there. Right-click for a context menu with more options.
6
Review — Click a sort folder (with nothing selected) to preview its contents. Click any thumbnail to open the full-screen lightbox.
7
Export — Click Export and choose Copy (keep originals) or Move (delete after export). Output goes to a folder named FolderName_hdw_sorted next to your source.

🗂
Sort Folders
Create folders by name. Use slash notation (Product/Hero) for nesting. Drag folders into each other. Rename with double-click.
🔍

▶
Video Playback
Custom video player with scrub bar, volume, speed control (0.25x–2x), mute and fullscreen. Full YouTube-style keyboard shortcuts.
📐
Crop / Fit Modes
Crop fills the 1:1 grid cell completely (no empty space). Fit shows the full image with background fill (no crop).
⚠
Duplicate Detection
Before export, scans for files with identical names going into the same sort folder. Warns you and lets you proceed or cancel.
📤
Export
Copy or Move mode. Creates output folder next to source. Preserves nested sort folder structure. Full resolution, no compression.
🌙
Dark / Light Mode
Toggle in the toolbar. Preference saved between sessions.
↔
Resizable Panels
Drag the edge of source or sort panel to resize. Thumbnail size adjustable with the slider.
🌐
Browser Support
