Pricing
One licence covers both the Mac app and the browser version. Annual, so it keeps working through the year without you thinking about it.
Prices are in Indian rupees and exclude any taxes that may apply. Need more than three machines, or a longer term? Ask and we will work something out.
Privacy
Your footage never leaves your machine. FieldCut opens a folder, reads it, and writes the sorted result back to your own disk. Photos and video are not uploaded to us, ever. There is no server holding your work.
What happens when you start a shared Cut
Sorting with your crew is the one feature that needs a server, because everyone has to see the same list. When you start a Cut, these things sync through our database so the others can vote:
- File names and folder names
- Small preview thumbnails, roughly 200 pixels wide, so people can see what they are picking
- Picks, rejects, and the folders you sort into
- The display name each person types when joining
Full resolution files are never part of this. When the host ends a Cut, that data is cleared. Nobody without the code and the password can read any of it.
Google Drive
If you paste a Drive link, FieldCut reads that folder to list what is in it. Read only, only the link you paste, and only while you are using it. Nothing is written back to your Drive and nothing is kept afterwards.
Your licence
Activating a key stores the key itself, the name it was issued to, and an anonymous token for each device, so we can tell how many machines are using it against what was bought.
What we do not do
No analytics, no tracking pixels, no advertising, no third-party trackers, no selling anything to anyone. There is no cookie banner because there is nothing to consent to.
Removing your data
Message or email us and we will delete anything associated with your licence. There is not much to delete, which is the point.
Terms
What you are buying
A licence to use FieldCut for a year on the number of Macs your plan covers. The software stays ours. The licence is for you and your team, not for resale or sharing outside it.
What you agree not to do
- Resell, sublicense, or rent the software
- Reverse engineer or decompile it
- Share your key outside the team it was bought for
Provided as it is
FieldCut moves and copies real files on your disk. It is built carefully and asks before anything irreversible, but you should keep backups of important work, as you would with any tool that touches originals. We are not liable for lost data, lost work, or lost income arising from use of the software. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be waived.
Ending it
A licence can be revoked if these terms are broken. You can stop using FieldCut at any time. See refunds below.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute goes to the courts of Surat, Gujarat.
Refunds
Fourteen days, no questions asked. If FieldCut is not what you expected, message us within fourteen days of buying and we will refund it in full. You do not owe us an explanation.
After fourteen days, get in touch anyway. If something is genuinely broken on our side we will make it right.
